Saints players ban together to fight for a safer New Orleans

New Orleans March 12, 2012 - Get Checked or Check Out! Health Non-Profit is the brainchild behind the "We Stand As One! Love NOLA!" Anti-violence campaign.

"The Crescent City! I love this city, the food, the magical atmosphere, the events but most importantly the people says President Darryn De Walt.
              
Get Checked or Checked Out has developed a community outreach program with current New Orleans Saints Will Smith, Lance Moore, Malcolm Jenkins, Roman Harper, Chris Ivory, Courtney Roby, and former Saints Darren Sharper and Mike McKenzie. 
  
"We Stand As One! Love NOLA!" Anti-violence campaign is not just a feel good effort by the players; each player has a 5-year commitment to making New Orleans a safer place, with the understanding that their commitment to New Orleans is without end.
  
The Mission - Stand Together, United in the fight for a safer New Orleans.
      
The Goal - Develop community outreach programs with local business through the players foundations and existing local youth service agencies, church and community based organizations that assist in the fight against crime and violence in the city of New Orleans.

The Hoops Challenge will be fun for the entire family and will give the fans an opportunity to see their favorite players, Police & Fire Fighters, radio & television personalities, entertainers, and local college athletes playing a competitive game of basketball. While coming together to show their solidarity and commitment to a safer New Orleans.
