An incredible rescue of around 30 dolphins caught on tape has now been posted on Youtube and has nearly 3.5 million views.

The dramatic scene took place on a beach at Arrail de Cabo in Brazil on March 5th of this year.

In the video you see a pod of about 30 dolphins, one after another, swim straight in for the shore.

As the creatures strand themselves on the sand, people at the beach start to gather. At first they are a little uncertain what to do, but then they jump into action, grabbing tails or fins and dragging the dolphins back into the surf.

According to the post on Youtube, the entire event was caught on tape by Gerd Traue.
