Grand jury to decide if NOPD officer will be charged

New Orleans, La. - The attorney for Wendell Allen's family says the NOPD is not recommending charges against the officer who shot and killed an unarmed man during a search in March.

Wendell Allen's mother and others met with Superintendent Ronal Serpas and other NOPD top brass Wednesday morning.

Natasha Allen says she wants officer Joshua Colclough fired and charged.

The case is expected to be turned over to the district attorney's office Thursday.

Colclough shot and killed Allen while officers served a search warrant on a Gentilly home.

Allen was unarmed.
