Ctsy. New Orleans Police Dept. Ctsy. New Orleans Police Dept.

New Orleans police need help finding the person who killed a Covington man in New Orleans east Tuesday morning.

Bruce Cucchiara, 57, was reportedly gunned down at the Mark Seven Apartment Complex on Papania while looking for investment property in the area.

Police believe robbery was the motive for the shooting.

Now they have released a composite sketch of what the gunman may look like.

Police say he is an African-American man in his mid-20's.  They describe him as being five-foot-nine to six-feet tall with a slim build and possibly a light brown complexion.

Recently, police held a crime walk in New Orleans East to try to get people to come forward about crimes in the area.

"We want to choose this place for our next crime walk," said NOPD Commander Michael Harrison.  "Just so they know we are here for them and maybe we'll get some information to help us solve some past crimes and maybe prevent some future crimes."

If you have any information that can help police in this case, call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111.
