8th annual Plaquemines Parish Seafood Fest

Belle Chasse, La. - Celebrating its eighth year, the Seafood Festival will be held May 17th through May 20th at 225 F Edward Hebert Blvd in Belle Chasse, Louisiana from 6:00 to 10:00 PM on Thursday, 6:00 to 11:00 PM on Friday, 10:30 AM to 10:30 PM on Saturday, and 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM on Sunday.

The site is on the fair grounds at the rear of the future site of the Plaquemines Parish Government Complex.

Admission is $5 for adults and free for children 12 and under. Parking is free.

The Festival opens Thursday at 6PM and features Croatian Night with Ludi Ritam from Chicago performing Croatian music at 7 PM.

On Saturday, the gate opens at 10:30AM. At 11:00, the Seafood Queen will be crowned followed by the official opening of the Festival. On the Grand Bayou Stage, the Breland Brothers will perform at 1:00.

By popular demand, Southern Cross from Houma, returns to the Stage at 5:00. Country music singer and proud spokesman for the fishermen and seafood industry, Sammy Kershaw will entertain the crowd at 9:00.

The Fort Jackson Tent will host local favorites Big River Band at 2:30 followed by the swamp pop sounds of Aaron Foret at 6:00.

Sunday starts at 10:30AM with another great line-up of bands and exciting activities.

Two new Country Music acts to the Festival kick off Sunday starting with Kayla Woodson at 11:00 on the Grand Bayou Stage followed by Boot Hill at 3:00.

The fun continues with a concert by The Chee-Weez at 7:00. The Fort Jackson Tent will host Ernie Wilkinson and the Hot Sauce Band. Foret Tradition will get you on your feet at 4:00.
