Lafourche Parish, La.- Police say arrest three individuals and are still searching for another in a string of thefts and burglaries in the Bayou Blue area in April.
The Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office arrested 20-year-old Dylan Rogers and 22-year-old Cassidy Oliver in connection to the crime. In addition, 20-year-old Clint Chauvin was arrested in Terrebonne Parish on the warrants from Lafourche.
Police are searching 21-year-old William Lala as the fourth subject and officials have released warrants for his arrest. Investigators say Lala was last known to be a resident of Houma.
Through investigation, detectives learned that Chauvin, Rogers, Lala and Olivier allegedly stole gas cans from several Bayou Blue residences back in April from three homes on Canal Lane and four homes on Mary and Jennifer Streets in the Oak Grove Subdivision.
Investigators also learned Chauvin, Rogers and Lala allegedly burglarized one residence and a total of six vehicles in the Bayou Blue area.
Police say a wallet containing cash and a bank card were among the items taken from the burglaries. Detectives later learned the three allegedly used the bank card to purchase various items at several locations in Laforuche and Terrebonne Parishes.
Olivier was arrested on May 11 for theft over $500 and booked into the Lafourche Parish Detention Center. She was released May 12 after posting a $10,000 bond.
Chauvin and Rogers were both arrested on warrants for theft over $500, unauthorized use of an access card, simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, and six counts of simple burglary.
Since he was arrested in Terrebonne Parish, Chauvin remains at the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex awaiting transfer to Lafourche.
Rogers was arrested May 19 and is being held at the Lafourche Parish Detention Center on a $130,000 bond.
Lala is still at large and faces the same charges as Chauvin and Rogers.
