New Orleans, La. - The National WWII Museum has planned a day of special events and ceremonies to honor the brave men and women who lost their lives to ensure our nation's freedom, and to stress to all Americans the importance of remembering these heroes.
The commemorative events will start at 10 a.m. Relatives of service members who lost their lives during World War II will give special tributes to their loved ones.
A patriotic band will be on hand to perform, in addition to the Museum's Victory Belles. The traditional observance of a moment of silence will follow.
Navy Band New Orleans Performance – 10:00 a.m.
Ceremony begins – 10:30 a.m.
Victory Belles Performance – 2:15 p.m.
Moment of Silence & Bell Ringing Ceremony – 3:00 p.m.
