Raceland, La.- Police arrest four men in connection with an armed robbery that happened early Friday morning on Louisiana Street in Raceland.
Lafourche Parish deputies arrested 23-year-old Ronzell Collins, 21-year-old Devin Ingram, 28-year-old Jeremy Jones and 25-year-old Donaldnika Morris.
Deputies responded to the residence around 12:20 a.m. on after receiving a call that three unknown men were inside and were holding another man at gunpoint, along with three juveniles.
Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the adult male victim who advised deputies the suspects had fled the scene.
Through investigation, detectives learned the victim had walked outside his residence to his car shortly before midnight when he was approached by three subjects with handguns who were demanding money and wearing all black clothing and black masks.
After the victim had given up his car keys and wallet, the three subjects forced the man inside his residence, where the three juveniles were at that time.
Once inside, one of the masked subjects located the eldest of the three children and threatened the juvenile at gunpoint. When the subject momentarily turned his attention back toward the adult male victim, the juvenile slipped away and located the other two younger siblings. They went to a bedroom, locked the door and managed to escape through the bedroom window to a neighbor's home where they were later found safe and unharmed.
At that point, the three men began to beat the adult male victim with their fists and the firearms. Then they rummaged through the residence and grabbed several items, including a handgun and the victim's cell phone, before fleeing through the rear of the residence.
Deputies were able to obtain the description of a vehicle spotted at the residence just before the time of the incident and the same vehicle was seen fleeing the scene at a high rate of speed shortly before the deputies' arrival.
Police found the vehicle and the four subjects at a truck stop in Raceland and transported all four men to the Criminal Operations Center in Lockport for questioning.
After obtaining a search warrant, detectives located the victim's cell phone inside the vehicle. Through further investigation at the victim's residence, detectives found shoe prints outside the home which matched shoes worn by the suspects.
Each subject's specific involvement in this incident is still under investigation, but detectives believe three of the men participated in the robbery and burglary while the other drove the vehicle to and from the scene.
Collins, Ingram, Jones and Morris were each charged with Armed Robbery and Aggravated Burglary and are currently being held at the Lafourche Parish Detention Center in Thibodaux.
Collins and Morris are being held in lieu of $500,000 bond each.
Ingram and Jones were additionally booked on outstanding warrants for distribution of crack cocaine. They are each being held in lieu of $510,000 bond.
