St. Bernard Parish begins lot sale

Updated:

Chalmette, La. - St. Bernard Parish Government is going to offer lots for sale. There are more than 2,400 available through the Louisiana Land Trust (LLT) Properties.

These properties are not being sold through the "Lot Next Door" program. These lots will be sold as free-standing property eligible for redevelopment. Buyers must express interest in the LLT properties by June 22, 2012.

St. Bernard will compile a list of LLT properties that buyers are interested in purchasing and will begin a competitive bidding process for each property on the list. LLT properties that do not make the list will be set aside for future sale or will be used as green space.

The parish will work with LLT to sell the available properties as early as July 2012.

A complete list of available LLT properties can be found at www.sbpg.net <http://www.sbpg.net/>. Click on the "St. Bernard Lot Sales Program" icon on the right sidebar in order to search the complete list. You may contact either Cliff Zeairs (czeairs@sbpg.net <mailto:czeairs@sbpg.net>) or Ray Doran (rdoran@sbpg.net <mailto:rdoran@sbpg.net>) by email or phone (504-355-4435) in order to express interest in up to four (4) LLT properties. SBPG will accept statements of interest via email or phone through the close of business (5pm) on Friday June 29, 2012. You must include your name, address, phone number and the complete address of each LLT property you are interested in when submitting a statement of interest to SBPG.
