New Orleans, La. -
Drew Brees is now considering a new offer from the Saints.
Saints General Manager Mickey Loomis submitted the offer to the Brees camp Thursday morning – an apparent sign that negotiations are moving forward and progress is being made.
So far, there is no word back from Brees' representatives about what he thinks of the offer.
This remains a delicate negotiation process – close but no cigar, so to speak. Both sides are moving toward each other as the compromising continues.
Both sides are confident that, once a deal is reached, it will be back to the business of football.
Meantime, Brees has sold his San Diego home for $2.4 million, according to the San Diego Union Tribune. The 6,000-sq. ft. home has been on the market since 2010.
