Thibodaux, La.- Police say two Thibodaux women have been arrested for a drive-by shooting targeting an ex-boyfriend's house.

Jessie Andre, 20, and Daymin Benoit, 17, were arrested Thursday following an investigation into the shooting.

At around 11:30 p.m. on May 15, police responded to complaints of shots fired at a residence on Primrose Drive.

Investigators found two holes on the side of the home where projectiles had penetrated the exterior walls and determined that an unknown person or persons had fired two rounds at the home and immediately fled the scene.

Deputies then learned that Andre and Benoit had traveled to Primrose Street after deciding to "shoot up" the home of Benoit's ex-boyfriend.

Both women were arrested Thursday and transported to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center in Thibodaux where they were each booked with assault by drive-by shooting and aggravated criminal damage to property.

Andre and Benoit were both released Thursday after posting a $50,000 bond.

Police say no one was injured in the shooting and this case is still under investigation.
