Houma, La.- A man died after a struggle with Houma police at a Wal-Mart over the weekend.

Police say 41-year-old Randolph Bonvillian Jr. created a disturbance in the store when he began screaming and then became belligerent when an officer working a detail there approached him, began fighting and injured the officer's arm.

When more officers arrived, they managed to restrain Bonvillian, but not without a struggle. Two officers were hurt and Bonvillian became unresponsive.

Despite CPR by officers, Bonvillian died.

The Jefferson Parish Forensic Center is conducting an autopsy and the officers involved are on administrative leave while the incident is investigated by the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office.

Investigators say Bonvillian had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for harassing phone calls.
