Suspects sought for gas station robbery

New Orleans, La. - The NOPD is searching for two men who robbed a cashier at a gas station in the 6300 Elysian Fields Avenue Saturday night.

Police say around 11:05pm two black males armed with handguns entered the gas station. Both suspects approached the cashier behind the counter and demanded money.

The victim opened the register and both suspects took about $500 from both registers.

Both suspects fled the location on foot.

One of the suspects is described as a black male, 5'8" tall, about 200 pounds. He has a heavy build, brown complexioned, and was wearing a red short sleeve t-shirt with unknown white writing on the front and camouflage shorts with red/black/white tennis shoes with red shoe laces.

The second suspect is described as black male, approximately 5'7" tall, weighing about 120-130 pounds, slim build, light brown complexioned. He wore a black "Dickie" jacket with a grey hooded sweat shirt underneath and blue jeans which were cut into shorts and white tennis shoes with white socks. He wore a black neck/ear warmer which partially covered his head with a black baseball cap.
