The College World Series field has been set in stone.  LSU will not be heading to Omaha because of Stony Brook.

The Tigers fell in embarrassing fashion as the offense went completely stagnant, outside of four innings of miraculous comeback hitting in game one.

Stony Brook will face UCLA in the first round of the tournament on Friday.  The other two teams on their side of the bracket will be Arizona and Florida State.

On the other side of the tournament will be three SEC teams -- Florida, South Carolina, and Arkansas -- in addition to Kent State.  The Tigers were a combined 7-2 against those three conference foes.  Yet they'll be watching from home because they went 1-2 against Stony Brook.

The SEC side of the tournament will begin play Saturday and because of the format of the tournament; splitting the eight teams into two pools, only one SEC team can possibly reach the championship series.
