Former Mandeville Mayor Eddie Price
Baton Rouge, La. -- The state ethics board refuses to waive a maximum fine against former Mandeville Mayor Eddie Price.
Price's attorney says he asked the board to waive the $2,500 fine because of Price's financial situation. Friday, the board announced it denied the request.
The board issued the fine because Price filed a 2008 personal financial disclosure form more than a year and half late.
His attorney says they're considering an appeal.
Price is currently serving a prison sentence for corruption and income tax evasion.
