Vigil held to remember Jaren Lockhart

Updated:
Albany, La. -

Dozens of people gathered Friday evening for a vigil to remember the life of 23-year-old Jaren Lockhart.

Lockhart was murdered, dismembered and decapitated after leaving her job at Temptations night club on Bourbon street June 6.  Two people have been named as suspects in the case and are in police custody.

Friday evening at the Albany Welcome Center, friends and family remembered a woman who they say was always happy. They say she was a loving mother, daughter, sister and friend who was loved by many.

The candlelight vigil ended with shouts of "justice for Jaren!"

Jaren Lockhart is survived by her mother and father, brother and 3-year-old daughter.
