Indoor pot operation shut down

MADISON, Miss. (AP) - Madison County Sheriff Randy Tucker says his deputies and Madison police have shut down an elaborate indoor marijuana growing operation in a local subdivision.

Tucker says his office and police have developed information for several months on the operation and were tipped Monday that plants were being grown.

Tucker says a room in the house had been set aside for what he said were 150-200 plants in different stages of growth.

He says there were grow lights and an indoor water filtering system in the marijuana room.

He says a woman in the house had been arrested and authorities were expecting to make another arrest. He was not releasing the names until both were in custody.
