New Orleans, La. - The FBI and the NOPD need your help to identify a man who robbed the Liberty Bank & Trust Co on Gentilly Boulevard.
It happened Friday at approximately 11:55 a.m. Authorities say a man dressed as a woman walked into the bank and presented a demand note to a teller implying he had a weapon.
He was given an undisclosed amount of money and got away when he ran out of the bank and headed east on St. Denis Street on foot.
An FBI news release states, "The robber was described as a black male wearing a long black curly wig and sunglasses, and was approximately 5'9" with a slim build. He was carrying a tan purse and wore a wide-striped gold and white long-sleeve sweater, dark tights, and white Sneakers. A surveillance image is not available at this time."
Anyone with information about the bank robbery is asked to call the FBI at 504-816-3000. A $5,000 reward is being offered by the Metropolitan Orleans Bank Security Association.
