Wig wearing suspect sought for Gentilly armed robbery

New Orleans, La. - The NOPD is searching for a wig wearing suspect who robbed a Gentilly gas station Tuesday.

Police say around 4:50pm, the suspect walked into the gas station and approached the cashier posing as a customer.

The perpetrator pulled out a black and silver handgun and demanded money. The cashier opened the register and gave the suspect $677.

He is described as a black male, approximately 5'0"-5'08" tall, weighing about 150-155 pounds, medium build, brown complexion, wearing dark blue jeans, dark blue short sleeve t-shirt with a grey long sleeve t-shirt underneath, black sunglasses, with a white baseball cap with a black "Air Jordan" silhouette on front. He was wearing a brown female's wig carrying a black handbag.
