Monty Williams addresses Hornets' draft needs

When approaching a draft in any sport, there are typically two approaches a team can take: draft for need or take the best player available.

Hornets head coach Monty Williams is hoping for the best of both worlds with the team's tenth overall selection.

"It could be the best player that fills our need would be optimum," Williams said in his last media session before Thursday's draft.

But Williams is also a realist in his expectations.

"We trade Emeka and fill like you need a big but if the best player available is not a 'big' that doesn't mean it's a bad draft."

Williams said if they can't address a need in the draft they can do so in free agency where the Hornets will have a lot of money to spend.
