Lockport, LA - Lafourche Parish authorities arrested a man and a woman on Friday for operating a Lockport meth lab inside of an apartment. Lockport Police Officers, along with members of The Lafourche Parish Combined Methamphetamine Response Team and Lafourche Parish Drug Task Force Agents responded to the apartment in the 800 block of Elizabeth Street. Authorities arrested 34-year-old Jason Danos and 24-year-old Sheena Allemand.
Police say that agents learned of the possibility of Danos manufacturing methamphetamine at the apartment. Through their investigation, agents saw Danos walk out of the apartment and begin dumping a large bottle containing a white substance, that agents believed to be a hazardous bi-product. Agents approached Danos and placed him under arrest. Shortly thereafter, Allemand arrived at the apartment where she was also taken into custody.
Danos and Allemand were transported to the Criminal Operations Center for questioning. Agents removed several items that are used for the used in the production of methamphetamine, from the apartment. They also recovered three grams of methamphetamine and 25 firearms from the residence.
Danos admitted to manufacturing methamphetamine and Allemand admitted to buying Pseudoephedrine, knowing that it was to be used to produce methamphetamine.
Danos and Allemand were charged with creation or operation of a clandestine laboratory for the unlawful manufacture of a controlled dangerous substance. Danos was also charged with illegal carrying of a weapon in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance and possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine. They were both transported to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center.
