New Orleans, La. - A 21-year-old woman has been booked with last Tuesday's armed robbery and carjacking in the Leonidas neighborhood.

It happened around 1:15 p.m. on June 26 in the 1100 block of Dublin Street.

Police say the victim was walking down the street when the suspect, identified as Cabrina Watson, jumped from between parked cars, armed with a silver revolver, and demanded the victim's purse.

The victim threw the suspect her purse and threw her vehicle keys on the ground. The suspect asked her to pick them up and give them to her, at which time she refused. The victim then fled as Watson fired a single gunshot at her. No one was wounded.

Detectives were able to identify Watson as the suspect through a photograph line-up. Detectives gave a taped statement admitting her involvement in the robbery. Watson was then transported to Central Lock-up where she was booked with Armed Robbery, 2 Counts of Aggravated Assault and Discharge of a Firearm During a Violent Crime.
