Hammond, LA - Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Deputies have arrested a man wanted for numerous vehicle burglaries throughout the Hammond area. Benjamin White, 30, was taken into custody Monday and charged with 76 counts of burglary. White admitted to participating in the burglaries.
Police say that an anonymous tip lead to the whereabouts of White. Detectives responded to Edge Wood Townhomes on Rufas Bankston Road where they positively identified White.
In addition to the multiple burglary charges, White was arrested on a simple battery warrant and a failure to appear warrant, pending investigation
Detectives have not recovered any property. They are still searching for additional information leading to the identity of the other two subjects.
