New Orleans, La. - The NOPD is investigating an overnight crash that claimed the life of a 23-year-old woman.
Just before midnight, the victim was headed westbound on I-10 near the West End exit.
Police say as she tried to exit the interstate, she hit a wall causing a utility pole to fall.
She was thrown from her car and struck by the pole
The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.
Her name has not yet been released.
Blood and alcohol tests are pending.
