New Orleans, La. - People who live near Rousseau and Soraparu Streets stood around and watched in awe as the NOPD investigated.
A woman who lives in the Irish Channel area said she saw a man pull up to the corner around 8:00 Thursday night. She said he got out of his car, dropped off a large container and then took off.
The woman said she went over to see what was inside and she couldn't believe her eyes. It was a gray container filled with baby alligators. She immediately called 911.
There was a recent burglary at the Audubon Zoo. Someone stole 10 little alligators from the swamp exhibit. The Audubon Zoo would not talk about exactly how it happened and only told us that the NOPD was investigating.
The NOPD confirmed that it was looking for the person responsible. At this point, we still are not sure that the cases are related.
