Sabine Parish accident kills 2 passengers

NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Two passengers were killed in a Friday traffic accident in Sabine Parish, Louisiana State Troopers say.

A driver lost control of a Chevrolet Trailblazer on U.S. 171 south of Zwolle during heavy rain Friday afternoon, troopers say. The vehicle flipped and landed partially submerged in a creek. Killed were 67-year-old Thomas Malmay of Noble and an unnamed 7-year-old child. The driver, 38-year-old Linda Malmay of Noble, was injured, as were two other children.

Troopers say none of the occupants were wearing seat belts.
