Mandeville man arrested on 34-counts of child pornography

Mandeville, La. - A North Shore man has been arrested and charged with 34-counts of pornography involving juveniles, according to Attorney General Buddy Caldwell.

Charles Cox, Jr., 36, was arrested Friday as part of a joint investigation involving the Attorney General's High Technology Crime Unit, Homeland Security Investigations, and the Mandeville Police Department.

Cox is accused of violating a state law forbidding a person to produce, distribute, possess, or possess with the intent to distribute pornography involving juveniles. He was booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail.

    Firefighters with St. Tammany Fire District #4 conducted a water rescue in Mandeville Thursday.  Firefighters were dispatched to the scene where they found a crane had overturned and was submerged in a canal. According to the report, the operator was still underwater. Within four minutes of dispatch, firefighters arrived on scene. Along with the assistance of some of the work crew members, firefighters were able to quickly get the crane operator out of the water and to Fire D...
