FOX - Less than two weeks after Katie Holmes filed for divorce, the actress and Tom Cruise have reached a settlement.
The unexpected deal may just set the record for the fastest settlement in Hollywood history.
In a statement, Katie's attorney says she's excited to embark on the next chapter in her life.
No other details have been released, but Holmes and Cruise said in a separate statement they remain focused on their protecting six-year old daughter, Suri.
The couple tied the knot back in 2006 in a scientology wedding ceremony in Italy.
Some suspect Cruise's deep ties to the religion may be a major reason for the divorce.
