St. John the Baptist Parish - People who live in St. John Parish no longer have to conserve water.

Crews have now repaired the water leak at the Ruddock Water Well #1.

The St. John Utilities Department says it was able to maintain normal water service on the East Bank during the repairs, thanks to the conservation measures put into place.

"We appreciate conservation efforts made by our residents and businesses during repairs and we apologize for the inconvenience it may have caused," said Utilities Director Virgil Rayneri.

It says all well systems are now operating as they should.
