Houma, La. – Terrebonne Parish deputies arrest a man on multiple charges including battery on a police officer.

The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office says Devin Bradley was identified as the person who drove a vehicle through the yard of a home in the 5500 block of Bayou Black Dr.in  Gibson and struck a picnic table Tuesday.

They say a deputy then went to the 100 block of Tasha Court in Gibson and located the 18-year-old, who allegedly hit the deputy and spit in her face when she placed him under arrest.

The deputy eventually handcuffed and placed Bradley in the backseat of the patrol car. But while she spoke with witnesses, the Sheriff's Office says Bradley opened the door and escaped.

They say he was chased into a nearby wooded area and caught by additional deputies that arrived on the scene to assist.

Charges include disturbing the peace by loud and abusive language, hit and run driving, simple battery on a police officer, resisting arrest by violence, careless operation and simple escape.

Bradley remains in the Terrebonne Parish Jail on a $75,000.00 bond.
