Harahan country club has new owners, but future remains uncertain

A Harahan country club has new owners, but its future remains uncertain.

Our partners at New Orleans CityBusiness report developers John Georges and Wayne Ducote closed the deal on the Colonial Golf and Country Club. The bankrupt club had been headed for a sheriff's auction until the developers recently bought it.

Georges tells CityBusiness that no timeline or specific plans have been created for the 88-acre property.

In an interview with the paper, he said he and Ducote plan to seek more input from neighbors before deciding its future.
