The NFL says linebacker Jonathan Vilma can work with Saints doctors while suspended.
The league says Vilma can rehabilitate and condition at a private facility and Saints trainers and physicians can monitor and help guide his rehabilitation there.
Vilma wants an expedited restraining order blocking the suspension.
He argues that he needs access to a Saints trainer to continue receiving treatment for a knee injury.
But a spokesman for the NFL said Vilma is incorrect about the ability of the Saints medical staff to interact with him during his suspension.
Vilma may not attend the Club facility, but "he can rehabilitate and condition at a private facility and Saints trainers and physicians can monitor and help guide his rehabilitation there."
