Popular David Hasselhoff ads (WHDH)
Somerville, Mass. - People can't seem to keep their hands off a new Cumberland Farms iced coffee ad.
A spokesperson for a Boston-area store says they can barely keep life-sized cutouts of "Baywatch" star David Hasselhoff from being repeatedly stolen.
The signs have become so popular they have store workers keeping a close eye on them.
Some customers have even offered to buy the posters. Esther Francke, a Cumberland Farms employee says, "It's crazy. They keep offering. They come in -- we probably get customers probably every night asking to buy the Hasselhoff poster."
Cumberland Farms says, "although we are flattered our customers have become attached to our iced coffee ads, we do not encourage theft. The Hoff is there for all to enjoy."
The company can't tell say how many ads have been stolen, but say they keep getting calls from their stores for replacements.
