Kenner, La. - People who bike along Lake Pontchartrain in Kenner will need to find a new route for awhile. The city of Kenner begins a project to refurbish the bike path along the lake near Williams Boulevard on July 19.
The work is expected to take about three weeks. During the construction, the bike path will not be available to walkers, joggers or bike riders.
According to a news release from the city, the project is being paid for with federal funds and matching money from Jefferson Parish.
