New Orleans, La. - The NOPD is investigating an accident that left 8-year-old Adrian Antoine III dead and four others critically injured.
According to police, the accident occurred just before 11 p.m. Saturday night on Interstate 10 westbound near the Morrison Road exit ramp.
The 27-year-old male driver of a black SUV struck the curve of the exit ramp and lost control causing it to flip multiple times.
Antoine and the driver were ejected from the vehicle.
Three other passengers and the driver were listed in critical condition and transported to a nearby hospital.
Antoine was pronounced dead at the scene.
A toxicology test will be conducted to see if alcohol was a factor in the accident.
