Dallas, Texas - Former LSU cornerback Morris Claiborne and the Cowboys have agreed to terms on a four-year contract worth $16.4 million, $10.3 million of which is guaranteed.

Claiborne is now cleared to hit the practice field with the rest of the team on Wednesday.  It will be the first time Claiborne has strapped on a Cowboys helmet since he sat out the offseason program due to a wrist injury that required surgery leading up to the NFL draft.

The Cowboys made a surprising move on draft day jumping from the 14th slot to the 6th to land Claiborne, the player they had ranked second overall on their draft board behind only Stanford's Andrew Luck.  Claiborne is expected to start immediately at right cornerback, opposite free-agent addition Brandon Carr.
