Tangipahoa authorities arrest 1 in stabbing death

HAMMOND, La. (AP) - Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards says they've arrested the brother of a man found dead in a home over the weekend.

Edwards says 61-year-old Asua Bartolo, of Tickfaw, was booked Monday on a charge of second-degree murder in the stabbing death of his brother, 55-year-old Elias Bulnez Azua.

Edwards says the victim's body was found early Sunday. Azua had been stabbed numerous times, authorities said.

Edwards says detectives are in the preliminary stages of the investigation and a motive has not yet been determined.
