Police make arrest in fatal Slidell shooting

Slidell, La –Christopher Miller, 31, was killed Saturday at a Racetrac gas station in the 1700 block of Gause Boulevard.

The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m.

Police say that responding officers arrived and found Miller shot in a car. He was pronounced dead on the scene. Officers also found a 4-year-old child in the car. The child was unharmed.

Aaron Bise, 33, of Slidell was identified by witnesses as the suspect. He was arrested a short time later. According to police, the shooting appears to have stemmed from an ongoing feud over a woman.

Bise has been charged with Second Degree Murder.

Chief Randy Smith says, "I am proud of my officer's rapid response to the scene and for quickly apprehending the suspect.  We are very thankful no innocent bystanders were injured."
