FOX - Snoop dogg is changing his tune. Now the D-O-double-G will be known as Snoop Lion.
The artist is leaving rap behind, and plans to focus on creating reggae music.
The veteran rapper says he has been "rechristened" as Snoop Lion by a Rastafarian priest on a recent trip to Jamaica.
At a New York press event, he said rap is no longer a challenge, and said it's time to find something new.
His next release will be a reggae album called "Reincarnated." Snoop called reggae the music of love, happiness and sadness.
