Raceland, La. - Lafourche Parish deputies have arrested an 18 year old Raceland man in connection with a drive-by shooting that occurred Tuesday evening. Sheriff Craig Webre says Tylor Hotard was booked with assault by drive-by shooting and aggravated criminal damage to property.

Detectives were called to the 100 block of Market Street in Raceland around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday evening. Through investigation, Webre says two men who were standing outside a home got into a verbal argument with Hotard who had pulled up alongside him in his truck.  Hotard sped away, but reportedly returned about 10 minutes later and began shooting. Webre says Hotard fired multiple shots, but didn't hit the two men. Several rounds struck a truck belonging to one of the two men. Detectives located four casings and found bullet holes in the truck as well as two flat tires.

Hotard was initially transported to the Criminal Operations Center in Lockport for questioning. After questioning, Hotard was arrested and transported to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center in Thibodaux.  He is currently being held in lieu of $75,000 bond as set by Judge Ashly Bruce Simpson.
