New Orleans, La. - Suspended head football coach Sean Payton will be allowed to attend this weekend's Hall of Fame ceremony in Canton, Ohio.  NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has given Payton permission to attend Saturday night's induction ceremony.

The NFL allowed Sean Payton to take Tom Benson's plane to Canton, OH. Payton was accompanied on the plane by Tom & Gayle Benson, Mickey Loomis and Greg Bensel.

Despite the decision,  Payton will not be allowed to attend Sunday night's first preseason game in Canton.  Payton is also not supposed to have any contact with the New Orleans Saints team.

The Hall of Fame ceremony will honor former Saints player Willie Roaf.  Roaf was an offensive tackle, selected to the Saints in 1993.   Roaf played nine seasons for the Saints.
