New Orleans, La. - The New Orleans Police Department is investigating reports of gunfire on Bourbon Street early Thursday morning.

Officers with the Eighth District were called to the 800 block of Bourbon St. around 2:30 Thursday morning. Witnesses on the scene report seeing two groups of men fighting in the street. One of the suspects pulled out a gun and began firing into the air. No one was injured, but all of those involved escaped before police arrived.

Three men jumped into a green Buick, while a second group involving 5 others fled in a gray Jeep.
