Job Description

WVUE-TV Fox 8, the FOX affiliate in New Orleans, LA is seeking a full-time Director to switch and direct news in our new HD production facility.

Duties include:
* Program and execute all technical aspects of automated newscasts.
* Communicate clearly with talent producers and crew.
* Design and critique daily News graphics.

Requirements:

* Experience with control room automation
* Prior television production experience
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Experience with character generator operation
* Capable of handling multiple tasks
* Ability to read computer monitor and small printed numbers
* Manual dexterity to operate computer, telephone, and other office machines
* Ability to handle moderate stress on a regular basis with periods of high stress and deadline pressure
