Job Description

WVUE-TV Fox 8, the FOX affiliate in New Orleans, LA is seeking a full-time Managing Sports Editor.

Responsible for all aspects of the sports department including but not limited to: 

-               Planning for both one-time and season-long sports calendars

-               Managing sports staff schedules

-               Managing editorial content

-               Shooting and producing stories for air 

Candidate must be highly organized and highly motivated.   

Candidate must have a bachelor's degree with five years experience working in a television sports department and at least two years of on-air experience. 

Candidate must demonstrate excellent editorial judgment, ability to work well with others and express cool demeanor in a high stress level environment.
