AP PhotoFoxborough, Mass. - Not only are the Saints and the Patriots two of the best teams in the NFL -- they have two of the best quarterbacks in the league.
Brees is a fan of Brady. "He's got great command of the offense and of the huddle," Brees says. "I think his demeanor has always been calm, cool, and in control. He's been with a lot of those guys out there for a while now. Just to watch their good rapport, their offense and the way they run it, the situations, and the way he runs it, it's impressive. There's a reason he's one of the best."
The Tuesday practice also marked a gathering of some of the league's top tight ends: Jimmy Graham, Rob Gronkowski, and the slightly lesser known Aaron Hernandez. Despite the Pats' talented ends, Brees wouldn't trade Graham for anyone else.
"It's great to have a weapon like Jimmy," Brees says. "It's kind of ironic that he and Gronk(Gronkowski) came out in the same year."
Gronk was a second round pick out of Arizona; Graham, a third rounder out of Miami.
"Both of those guys have established themselves as probably two of the best tight ends in the league," Brees continues. "They're still young players, still continuing to get better and better. It's fun to get them on the same field and see them go at it, even though they're [both on offense]. It just shows what athletes they are and hope competitive they are."
