Tangipahoa Parish, La.- Police are investigating an early morning shooting involving a Tangipahoa deputy that killed 18-year-old Cjavar Galmon.
It happened around 2 a.m. Saturday at Club 81, a local bar located on U.S. 51.
A spokesman for Troop L says the deputy was actively on-duty and responded to reports of a fight at the nightclub.
The deputy has been placed on administrative leave until the investigation into the shooting is complete, according to a Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Department spokesperson.
The shooting is still under investigation and Fox 8 will bring you more details as they become available.
The name of the deputy has not been released.
