Police search for two men in string of armed robberies

Gretna, La.- Police are looking for two men in connection with a string of armed robberies across Louisiana, as far as Lafayette.

The Gretna Police Department is working with the Jefferson Parish Sherriff's Office in investigating armed robberies at auto parts store that occurred.

The most recent happened Thursday around 11 p.m. in Gretna.

The two suspects in the surveillance video are also suspected to be involved in armed robberies in New Orleans and St. Tammany Parish.

Both men are described as black males, about 5'10"-6'3" tall and weighing between 210-230 pounds.

Investigators say one of the suspects was wearing black shorts, a black t-shirt and a green baseball cap with a yellow bill.

The other man was last seen camouflage shorts, a grey t-shirt  and a black baseball cap.

Police say both men were armed with handguns.

Anyone with information on their identities or whereabouts is urged to call CRIMESTOPPERS at 822-1111.
