Drug bust leads NOPD officers to murder suspect

New Orleans, La. - NOPD officers say people detained in a drug bust gave them information that led to the arrest of a Central City murder suspect.

They've arrested 32-year-old Burnell Allen for June's killing of 21-year-old Lonnie Johnson.

Someone shot Johnson to death in the near the intersection of South Saratoga St. and Erato St.

Allen has been booked with second-degree murder.
