Police seek suspect in Warehouse District burglary

New Orleans, La.- Police are looking for 44-year-old Fazel Gresham in connection to a burglary at a residence in the 300 block of Julia Street.

The incident happened around 8:30 p.m. Sunday.

Investigators were able to identify Gresham to this to this burglary through positive witness identification.

Police say Gresham gained entry into the residence by kicking in a window. When the victim came home and observed Gresham walking out of the bathroom. She screamed and Gresham ran towards the front open door where he made his exit.

The victim told police Gresham dropped a bag containing her laptop and bottle of vodka.

In addition, detectives were able to link Gresham as the person responsible for stealing a "trek" mountain bike from the parking garage of this particular residential community back in July of this year.

Police say Gresham is known to stay in the area of the New Orleans Mission in the 1100 block of O.C. Haley Blvd.

Gresham has been previously arrested for crack possession, drug paraphernalia, flight from an officer, simple battery, aggravated burglary, simple burglary, forgery and theft of a bicycle.

When apprehended Gresham with be booked with one count of simple burglary and one count of residence burglary.

NOPD warns residents that Gresham is considered armed and dangerous.
