Family and friends will have the opportunity to say goodbye to one of the two St. John deputies killed last Thursday during an on-duty shoot-out.
The funeral for 27 year-old Jeremy Triche will take place at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Laplace.
Triche was one of the two men gunned down in a Laplace trailer park.
The deputies were killed while trying to track down the person responsible for shooting Deputy Michael Scott Boyington at a remote parking lot for Valero Refinery .
The procession for Jeremy Triche may cause some traffic blocks and road closures. The following will take place Monday morning:
The funeral procession is scheduled to leave New Wine Fellowship at 1929 West Airline Hwy after 10:30am for Mass at St Joan of Arc Church located at 529 west 5th Street. At 11:00 a.m. it will travel Airline to Elm Street then onto W. 5th to St Joan of Arc.
Around Noon, the procession will take Hemlock to Airline Hwy for burial at St. John Memorial Gardens located at 2205 West Airline Hwy in LaPlace.
During the burial ceremony, one eastbound lane will be closed on Airline Hwy between Elm Street and St. John Memorial Gardens to allow for parking.
Visitation for deputy Brandon Nielsen is set for Tuesday at 5pm at Lakelawn funeral home.
His funeral will be held Wednesday at Lakelawn Cemetery.
